Welcome to the blog of the Abandoned Animals Association. We are an animal rescue association based in North Wales. The association has been in existence since 1986 and has re-homed hundreds of animals. The charity’s registered no. is 518901. Currently our animals are kennelled with the Pet Rescue charity in Dyserth, but we have applied for planning permission to establish our own sanctuary near Tal y Cafn, on the A470 South of Llandudno. We hope to publish news of the association’s activities on this blog. For more detailed information please visit our web-site at www.abandonedanimals.org.uk. To speak to Lyn Buck (chairperson of the association) please ring 01745 571032. Alternatively, you can e-mail Lyn on lyn@abandonedanimals.org.uk. We are always needing help with fund-raising and other aspects of organisation. You can be sure of a very warm welcome if you feel able to offer us a little of your time. We have two shops – one in Rhuddlan and one in Abergele. Your help would be very welcome!!

  1. Abandoned Animals Association Says:

Our members and friends will be delighted to hear that on Friday 10th September the association took possession of ‘Little Pydew’ Ffordd Ffynnon, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, LL19 8BE. This property is to be the Rescue Centre towards which the association has been working for nearly 25 years. As you can imagine there is an enormous amount of work to be done over the next few weeks to prepare the accommodation to receive our animals. If you feel you could assist in any way we would be most grateful. Once we are operational (should be within the next two weeks) we will need as many volunteers as we can get to help with the care of the animals and to make their lives more interesting.
